Eng Patrick Sembajjo

Patrick Ssembajjo is an Engineer and is the Managing Director of Buganda Broadcasting Services (BBS Terefayina), the official Television broadcaster of Buganda Kingdom in Uganda. He also serves a Consultant Engineer for several Radio and Television stations both in Uganda and outside.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from Kyambogo University together with three Diplomas that include Higher Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering from Kyambogo University, Diploma in Radio & TV Studio Design, Operation and Management from the United States Telecommunication Training Institute (USTTI), Diploma in Broadcast Transmitter Operation and Maintenance from United States Telecommunication Training Institute (USSTI). He also holds a Certificate in Radio and TV Broadcasting Technology from China, Certificate in FM, TV Equipment & Antenna systems from Italy, TV Digital Studio broadcast operations, design, set up & satellite uplink from United Kingdom and TV-U Live Broadcast Technology from Spain.

Ssembajjo has an experience spanning over 20 years in the Telecommunication and Broadcasting industry. He previously worked as a Technician at Uganda Television – the official Uganda government broadcaster now called Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), was Head of Technical at Wavah Broadcasting Services (WBS TV), Consultant Engineer at Kwese Free Sport Uganda (Kwese TV), Chief Operations Officer at Buganda Broadcasting Services (BBS TV) and currently is the Managing Director of BBS TV.

He has special skills in Radio and TV Consultancy and has been hired to set up a number of Radio and TV stations in Uganda, Skills in TV systems integration, Multimedia staff training and Radio and TV Management. He holds special professional interest in TV management, Engineering mentorship programmes and Concept Development.

Ssembajjo is widely exposed, has directly and indirectly worked with several entities and travelled to different countries as a result of his much-desired skills in telecommunication. These include MultiChoice Africa (DSTV), Visual Engineering company, Voice of America, AP News Agency, BBC, SABC, NTV Kenya, CCTV+ China, Star TV Tanzania, CGTN and Beijing TV, attended multimedia exhibitions and training workshops in USA, South Africa, NAB (USA), CABSAT in United Arab Emirates (UAE), IBC in Netherlands, Visited different multimedia equipment factories and assembling plants including; AXEL Technologies in Italy, ELNOS in Italy, UBMS in United Arab Emirates (UAE), WTS in United Kingdom, DB in Italy, ABE in Italy, TIMEX in Italy, FAAPA in Morocco (Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies), TV-U Networks Corporation in Spain, Uzbekistan 24 in Uzbekistan,Hariss Factory in USA, Azam TV, Live-U Limited in Israel, KOFIH in Korea,Korea Foundation-KF, Korean Culture and Information Services Ministry, SES Beyond Frontiers and others.

Steven Dunstan Busuulwa

Steven Dunstan Busuulwa is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Buganda Broadcasting Services (BBS Terefayina).

Steven Dunstan is a renowned and seasoned Journalist with an experience of over 17 years especially in broadcast journalism (Radio and Television). He has worked with several media outlets starting as a Field News Reporter and later to Management positions. He has a passion for communication and information and loves reading a lot.

Steven Dunstan Busuulwa has a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Journalism and Media Studies from Ndejje University together with a Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies from the International Institute of Business and Media Studies (IIBMS). He has worked as Information Secretary/ Communications Officer for different organizations including Uganda Red Cross Society – Kampala North Branch, Namirembe Diocese Youth Department, Entebbe Archdeaconry and St. Stephen’s Church Kitende and other volunteer groups among others.

Through out his years of practice in Journalism, he has worked as a News Reporter, News Reader/Anchor, Radio and Television Presenter, Station Manager and General Manager. Currently he is the Chief Operations Officer of BBS Terefayina and also the Presenter / Moderator of the popular weekly current Affairs talk show “Amaaso ku Ggwanga” that airs every Thursday from 8:00pm – 10:00pm. Steven Dunstan also works as an MC at corporate functions, Communications Consultant and is married with children.

Petua Luutu Nakaziba

Luutu Petua Nakaziba is the Human Resource Manager at BBS Terefayina, a role she has served in since Feb 2018. Petua is a diligent Human Resource Manager with close to two decades of experience in talent management, employee benefits policy implementation, employee wellness projects, and employee engagement schemes.

Petua holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Ndejje University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Management Institute, a bachelor Degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, and several certificates in Human Resource Management from both Uganda and Kenya.

In her role as HR Manager at BBS Terefayina, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and stellar performance that has seen her resolve critical human capital issues, guiding teams to collaborate in new ways, in these post-COVID times.

Over the years, she has worked for various organizations under different sectors including the Health sector with Malaria Consortium and THETA – Uganda, Food security with the Hunger Project Uganda, USAID-LINKAGES project, Tourism with Volcano Safaris, and currently the Media Industry with BBS Terefayina.

Petua is a big believer in cohesive HR strategies, her excellence in recruitment strategies, process improvements, employee development, and enforcing compliance with company policies is of a first-rate grip. She offers an array of skills in accurate employee performance assessment, implementing action plan strategies to meet HR needs, and inter-departmental coordination, inter alia.

She is a very self-motivated, reliable, and interesting person to work with. She loves traveling and adventure.

Peter Muwesi

Peter Muweesi is a senior journalist and is the Chief News Editor of Buganda Broadcasting Services (BBS Terefayina), the official Television broadcaster of Buganda Kingdom in Uganda. He also serves as a consultant news editor because of his editorial experience that spans over 10 years.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at Team University in Kampala, Uganda, and a Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education in Mengo Kampala. Additionally, he has attended several refresher training courses like Road Safety from ACME (African Centre for Media Excellence) among many others.

Muweesi has an experience spanning over 10 years in the media industry. He previously worked in the News Department at NTV Uganda as a senior reporter. He has special skills in Radio and TV news scripting, and editing. He holds special professional interest in news editing and investigative journalism. He has previously managed and coordinated coverage with staff, along with multiple freelancer reporters, writers and photographers. He has covered stories on government, education, religion, crime, sports, and local events.

Muweesi is widely exposed, has directly and indirectly worked with several entities and travelled to different countries as a result of his much-desired skills in the newsroom. He is a member of the Uganda Editors Guild since 2020, a professional body that unites different editors across the media industry in Uganda. Muweesi is a family man, who is married with children.

Eng. Nkedi Remigious

Nkedi Remigious is a Professional Information Technology Administrator and Head of the ICT and Technical Department of Buganda Broadcasting services ( BBS Terefayibna)

Nkedi Remigious has a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Computer Science ( Bachelor of Science in Computer Science) from Cavendish University Uganda

Information Technology and Network Administration Experience:

He is well equipped with knowledge of investigating and diagnosing network problems and also knowledge of IT operating systems, especially Windows, Linux, Exchange and Apple Mac OSX.

He possess over nine years’ working experience of information technology, network and server administration of which 2 years were served as an area of information Technology, I played a lead role in diagnosing information technology issues.

Since January 2012 to date, he has served in several organizations as a network and information security specialist

Alex Katende Biriggwa

Katende Alex Biriggwa holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from Nkumba University.

Katende Alex Biriggwa joined BBS TV rank as chief commercial manager in December 2022.

Alex has served on various Committees and organizations for the last 20 years. Alex is the chairperson of the Uganda Media Owners’ association and, chairperson board Masaka Mission Hospital.

Solomon Luva

LUVA SOLOMON G. Head of production BBS Terefayina. I sit on the executive committee of the Dog Clan (Ekika Kye’mbwa).

Samuel Walugembe

Walugembe Samuel William Heads the BBS Media Lab, with over 15 years’ of experience in video productions and editing, Samuel has work with several strong media houses in the country starting with WBS TV, NTV-Uganda, NBS TV and now BBS Terefayina.

Samuel Hold a High Diploma in Multimedia Technology from the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology Nakawa with a Diploma in Business Studies from the International Institute of Business and Media Studies plus a Motion Graphics Animation Certificate from Cine Arts Academy.

Throughout his line of service, Samuel has worked as a Video Editor, a Graphics Designer Promo Producer/Director a Concept Developer and then rising to ranks of Productions Manager
