BBS is a private limited company incorporated in February 2016 based in Kampala Uganda. Buganda Broadcasting Service is the official Broadcasting Television of the Buganda Kingdom mandated to create and engender informative, educative, entertaining and cultural content across all genres of customers through our different platforms while keeping in mind the changing needs and trends in the industry. Our ability to provide rich content in multiple genres ranging from children’s and educational programmes, drama, announcements, news and current affairs, continue to position BBS as a trusted broadcasting media in Uganda. BBS strives to serve the information, educational and entertainment needs of millions of citizens who rely on our services for access to accurate, reliable and balanced content of each and everyone’s choice.

  • The television is led by a very experienced team of Board of Directors and a vibrant Management team operating as a commercial entity. Core mandate
  • To promote the Buganda Kingdom culture, Tourism developmental projects and through video and audio production. We are the official broadcaster of all Buganda Kingdom Events.


  • The station has a national coverage and can be accessed on both satellite and DTT platforms on the following channels; DSTV CH 287 which also covers the entire East African, Zuku CH 49, Azam CH 146, GOTV CH 325, Startimes CH 234 with state of the art studios and latest technology and broadcast equipment
  • Our free to air platforms have a span of over 60km away from Kampala
